On Wednesday, April 17th, senior and Schreyer Honors Scholar, Eileen Fresta, held a gripping seminar on her thesis, titled “Charting the Health History of Middletown Township, Pennsylvania, through a Study of the Cumberland Cemetery Interment Records.”
The event was a huge success, and our Tomezko Lounge was overflowing with everyone from Brandywine students and professors to members of the Middletown Township committee.

Through the course of her research, Fresta conducted a ground-penetrating radar study of the Pratt’s Burial Ground in Cumberland and highlighted the ways by which the cemetery has always stood as an iconic landmark in Delaware County’s vibrant history.
